AutoView 2 (Legacy Platform)

AutoView 2 is our leagacy platform. We still support this platform and have a large volume of course material on our own server which still uses AutoView 2.

AutoView 2 Features

• Video presentations with synchronised slides and/or subtitles
• Presentations can be viewed via the web or from CD, hard disk etc.
• Slide summaries, menus and subtitle transcripts
• Multi-lingual subtitle support
• Video for web presentations can be served via dedicated streaming servers¹ or via http download
• Works with both 56k modems and broadband
• Video delivery using RealPlayer, Quicktime, Windows Media Player or Java²
• Slides presented using Macromedia Flash and/or JPEG/GIF images
• Automatic detection and selection of available browser plugins
• Save/Restore video position
• W3C XHTML 1.0 compliance for wide browser support, including :
  • Internet Explorer
  • Mozilla Firefox (and related browsers³)
  • Opera
• Cross platform compatible ⁴
  • Windows 9x/NT/2k/XP (No additional plugins required on Windows XP⁵)
  • Linux/Unix
  • MacOS X

Notes :

1. Streaming servers are obtained separately from relevant vendors.
2. Windows media player mode only works in Internet Explorer/Windows. Java mode is audio only with no subtitle support.
3. Includes Netscape 7+ and Mozilla
4. Not all video plugins are available for all platforms.
5. Using Windows Media Player and JPEG/GIF slides.
