Autotrain Project Gains European Praise

Autotrain has been selected as an example of best practice in Europe in workplace e-literacy by the 21st Century Literacy Summit run by the Bertelsmann Foundation in Germany and AOL Time Warner.

The 21st Century Literacy Summit was held in Berlin on 7-8 March 2002 and speakers included Gerhard Schroder, Jose Maria Aznar Lopez, (the new President of the EU), Steve Case (Chairman of AOL Time Warner) and Madeleine Albright. 17 projects in Europe were selected as examples of best practice. Two projects were selected from the UK, the University for Industry Learn Direct and Autotrain.

The project will be holding its own conference on e-learning on 4th July in Birmingham, as well as several seminars nationwide to disseminate its online training courses for the manufacturing sector.
