EPMA eLearning Website launched

The European Powder Metallurgy Association (EPMA) and EuroMotor-AutoTrain are proud to announce the launch of a free eLearning website, on http://epma.autotrain.org. This website and it's course content has been developed over the past few years to act as a starting point for companies and individuals wishing to learn about powder metallurgy.

EA-LLP at the Motorsport Academy Conference

Free Courses in Craftsmanship with a Reward!

EuroMotor AutoTrain LLP has been working with the International Automotive Research Centre of the University of Warwick to communicate through e-learning the results of the Premium Automotive Research and Development (PARD) Programme.

Course Access Charges

Following the success of the previous stages of the project and the growing demand for our services, EuroMotor-AutoTrain has recently become a commercial enterprise as a spin-off from The University of Birmingham. During the development phase funded by the European community Leonardo Project and the ESF we were able to maintain free access to all users.

New Website - EuroMotor AutoTrain LLP

Welcome to the new EuroMotor-AutoTrain website. This website replaces the former seperate EuroMotor and AutoTrain websites. All existing autotrain.org user accounts should continue to work as normal on the new website.

Over the next few weeks we shall also be merging into the new website all of the course material developed by the AutoTrain Europe project, which is currently hosted seperatly. Users of this website will need to re-register to access the content on the new autotrain.org website.

AutoTrain PROJECT NOW COMPLETED

The current phase of development of the AutoTrain project is now completed and we will keep you updated on our further developments.

AutoTrain Contributes to Success of GKN Sinter Metals TS16949:2002 BSI Certification

GKN Sinter Metals at Lichfield (West Midlands) received TS16949:2002 certification from BSI in December 2005.

As Jim Best, QM at GKN Sinter Metals, states: " A significant contribution to our success was made by the resources I was able to access associated with the EuroMotor and AutoTrain activities".

Open University Chooses Moodle

The UK's Open University has choosen to use the Moodle learning platform (as used by Autotrain) for a new comprehensive online student learning environment. You can read more about this development on http://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=34002

Design for Environment Course

AutoTrain has released a new course 'Volvo approach to Design for the Environment', supplied to us by our colleagues at Volvo cars. This course is available through our learning platform along with all other AutoTrain course material and can be accessed by registering for a free account on our website.

Malcolm Bird awarded OBE

Malcolm Bird has been awarded an OBE in the New Year Honours for services to the Automotive Industry. Malcolm is a member of the EuroMotor and AutoTrain boards and has been heavily involved in many regional, national and international initiatives to support and develop the Automotive

industry. He has been especially concerned with quality and skills initiatives.
