Hydrogen for Transport

Our known resources of fossil fuel are now reducing and we have to look at alternative sources for transport applications. Two technologies are electric vehicles and hydrogen. Hydrogen has the greatest flexibility and can be applied to land and air transport. Two local experts on the Hydrogen Technology are Professor Rex Harris and Professor Kevin Kendal FRS. They talk about the technology in its widest sense and also the fuel cell work at the University. They show the Hydrogen Fuelling Centre and demonstrate the small fleet of hydrogen powered delivery vehicles and a barge used in demonstration projects.
